Richard Roffman, CEO & Publisher

Richard Roffman is a 35-year veteran publisher with extensive national and international experience. He currently publishes Coral Gables Magazine along with GLOBAL MIAMI Magazine and co-hosts the nationally syndicated AM talk radio show, “Made in America,” syndicated throughout the United States by Radio America. Roffman has founded and published several business publications, including Latin Trade, LatinCEO and South FloridaCEO magazines. He is a past-chairman and member of the board of World Trade Center Miami, was appointed to the District Export Council by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, and was a member of the Board of Directors of the FTAA, Inc. for the state of Florida. Roffman has also published the Miami, Broward, and Palm Beach Daily Business Review newspapers and was a Senior Vice President at Strategy Research Corporation—specializing in Latin American and U.S. Hispanic marketing research. Channels Magazine voted Roffman into “The Top 25 Most Accomplished Men in South Florida.”

Manny Mencia, Senior Vice President for International Business

Manny Mencia joined GLOBAL MIAMI after a long and distinguished career in economic development. Widely regarded as one of the top international economic government professionals in the nation, Mencia led the State of Florida’s international development programs on behalf of Enterprise Florida, Inc. for more than 25 years, earning multiple awards for programmatic excellence. Prior to joining EFI, Mencia headed the Beacon Council’s international development programs between 1992-1996. He also twice served as president of SIDO, the national association of state international development organizations, the only two-term president in its history. 

Gail Feldman, Associate Publisher

Gail Feldman’s career in magazine publishing spans four decades. Beginning in the tourism industry and then expanding throughout the tri-county area, her advertising expertise in the luxury lifestyle market ranges from Palm Beach to Miami, where she has interfaced with well-known retail brands, cultural and financial institutions, and high-end estate developments, amongst other categories. There is no challenge that she doesn’t face head on, and her relationships are of major importance to her, making her commitment to her clients’ success number one!

 

JP Faber, Editor-in-Chief

J.P. Faber is a veteran journalist who has launched numerous business magazine titles, including Latin Trade, Latin CEO, Miami Business, and South Florida CEO. As editor-in-chief, he has been responsible for the content and direction of each publication. Faber began his career as a wire service reporter for UPI and an investigative reporter for the Miami News, the latter role earning him a Pulitzer nomination and a Society of Professional Journalists’ Mark of Excellence award. He is also a winner of the Hearst Award for writing. Faber attended Dartmouth College and earned his journalism degree from the University of Florida.

Jon Braeley, Art Director

Jon Braeley, born in the United Kingdom, has spent his entire career as a designer, first as an architect and later as a photographer and media/graphic designer. He holds two bachelor degrees from Sheffield University in Fine Arts and Architecture. He was made a Fellow of the Chartered Society of Designers (CSD) in London in 1992. Upon his move to the United States in 1989, he became a partner in Jon Paris Design, working for luxury brand labels as a designer in New York, with clients from Jordache to Oscar de la Renta. In 1994, he moved to Miami, forming his own design company, Thinmedia, whose clients included the Miami Heat, PortMiami, Carnival Cruise Line, and the Miami Dolphins. Since then, Braeley has designed publications and magazines for a number of publishers, including China Trade, New You, Cuba Trade, and Coral Gables Magazine. In 2007-08, he worked in Beijing for China’s largest publisher, designing media and magazines for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. He is also an accomplished documentary filmmaker with over twenty feature length titles and has recently published two books on his passion, the martial arts.

Kylie Wang, Managing Editor

Kylie Wang is a former freelance journalist turned editor that began her journalism career at the young age of 17. She has been published in such prestigious publications as The Miami Herald, The Miami Hurricane, and USA Today. The Miami native has spent the majority of her career working in print, with brief forays into public relations and sports broadcasting. She recently spent a season with the Pittsburgh Steelers working as a media liaison. Wang currently oversees both Coral Gables Magazine and GLOBAL MIAMI as Managing Editor, as well as the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce’s annual directory and business guide. In this role, she oversees every aspect of the editorial content, from concept to publication.

Yousra Benkirane, Associate Editor / Data Analyst

Yousra Benkirane serves as the Associate Editor and Data Analyst for GLOBAL MIAMI Magazine. Prior to joining the GLOBAL MIAMI staff, she worked for the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, assisting in research and data collection for the Africa program. She has also served as a Program Assistant for the United States Agency for International Development. Benkirane has experience in the creation of local, state, and federal policies, as well as global initiatives, through her expertise in data collection and analysis. She is a graduate of Florida International University with a Bachelor’s in Public and International Affairs and Public Policy.
