Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens has hosted the opening match of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, launching a month-long tournament that brings 32 of the world’s top club teams to venues across the United States from June 14 to July 13. This marks the first edition of the Club World Cup in its expanded 32-team format.
In addition to Miami, matches will take place in 10 other U.S. cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C.
The tournament is expected to draw 3.7 million spectators and generate $9.6 billion in economic activity across the U.S., according to a joint study by FIFA, OpenEconomics, and the World Trade Organization; the economic impact for Miami is expected to exceed $1.5 billion. The month-long soccer frenzy is also projected to generated $17 billion in U.S. gross output, which means the total revenue earned by all businesses affected by the tournament; this includes an estimated 105,000 jobs created across sectors such as transportation, food service, security, media, and hospitality.
Hard Rock Stadium, home to the Miami Dolphins, seats 65,300 and will host eight matches, including the opener:
June 14: Al Ahly FC vs. Inter Miami CF
June 18: Real Madrid vs. Al Hilal
June 20: FC Bayern Munich vs. Boca Juniors
The Club World Cup 2025 differs from the FIFA World Cup 2026, which will feature 48 national teams competing across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
